If you could change the world right now, would you? 

Do you believe in the power of prayer?  I’m going to make the assumption that if you are reading this, you do.  Do you believe there would be power in all Cursillistas praying the same prayer at the same time every day?  What if everyone in Erie County prayed at the same time?  What about everyone in the entire Diocese? Now, imagine if you could get a million people to pray the same prayer, at the same time, twice a day.  THAT would be kind of like a prayer revolution!  I recently came upon this concept and wanted to share it with my fellow Cursillistas.
 

The Concept:

I attended a concert by the Christian Rock band Newsboys.  (Amazing show if you have never seen them.)  At the concert the idea of mass synchronized prayer was discussed, they called it “An Urgent Call for Revival... It’s Time”. What a fascinating idea! Every day, at 7:14 AM and 7:14 PM a prayer is shared for everyone to pray. It is a short prayer that allows you to easily take a short pause from your busy day and say the prayer.  
 

Ways to Engage:

If you have an iPhone or Android phone there is an “If 7:14” app available for download that notifies you when a new prayer is posted.  If you prefer text messages, you can sign up to receive a text twice a day.  You can access the If 7:14 web site to sign up for the app, get text messages or emails. If you prefer to read, there is even a book on the subject.
 

Personal Testimony:

I’ve downloaded the app and have prayed with the apps twice a day, every day for the last few months. As I pray, I think about all of the other people in the world who are also praying with me at the same time, I can almost feel the power of prayer.  And now I want to share with all of you.
